Account & Getting Started

How do I get started?
Create a free account with your email, Google, Apple, or Facebook. Once verified, you can upload photos and receive your first analysis immediately.
Do I need an account to use Gotique?
Yes. An account is required for all analyses. This ensures your reports are saved securely and accessible from any device.
What do new accounts get?
Every new account receives 2 free welcome sessions with full reports (all 7 sections) and 5 Q&A exchanges per session. Welcome sessions are valid for 12 months — no credit card required.

Analysis Process

How long does an analysis take?
The initial AI analysis takes about 30 seconds. The follow-up Q&A is instant — each exchange takes a few seconds.
What is the Q&A feature for?
After the initial analysis, you can ask follow-up questions about specific aspects of your item — provenance details, condition concerns, comparable sales, or anything else the AI can help clarify.
Can I re-examine an item?
You can revisit any completed session to review the analysis and report. Starting a new analysis of the same item uses a new session credit.

Reports

How do I save a report?
Click 'Generate Report' after your analysis session. The report is saved to your library automatically. Saving is free and unlimited for all tiers.
Can I share a report?
Yes. Paid subscribers can generate a shareable link for any saved report. Anyone with the link can view the report without an account.
How long are reports kept?
Reports are kept indefinitely while your account is active. After 90 days of account inactivity, reports are soft-deleted as part of our data hygiene policy.
What does 'Uncertain' mean in my report?
An 'Uncertain' assessment means the AI couldn't reach a confident determination about authenticity from the available photos. It's typically a signal to seek an in-person expert opinion — and clearer photos of marks, glazes, or distinctive features often improve the next analysis. Billing & Subscriptions

How do subscriptions work?
We offer two subscription plans: Standard (10 sessions/month) and Studio (20 sessions/month). Annual billing saves you 2 months. Subscribers get 5 Q&A exchanges per session plus shareable report links. Cancel anytime. You can also buy session packs without subscribing. Visit our pricing page for current rates in your local currency.
What are session packs?
Session packs let you buy sessions without a subscription. Choose from packs of 1, 5, or 10 sessions. Packs are available to everyone and expire 12 months after purchase. Visit our pricing page for exact amounts in your local currency.
Do unused sessions roll over to the next month?
No. Monthly subscription credits reset at the start of each billing cycle. Session pack credits have a 12-month expiry from purchase date.
What currencies do you accept?
We accept payments in all major currencies. Prices are automatically shown in your local currency at checkout, including USD, EUR, GBP, JPY, CNY, KRW, and many more. Your card will be charged in the currency displayed at checkout.

Privacy & Security

Is my data safe?
Yes. All data is encrypted in transit and at rest. We use AWS infrastructure with regional data residency — your data stays in the region you selected at registration.
Who can see my photos?
Only you and the AI processing system. Photos are not shared with other users unless you explicitly opt into the community gallery and share a report.
How do I delete my data?
You can delete individual reports from your library, or contact us to delete your entire account and all associated data.

Projects & Organization

What are projects?
Projects are folders that help you organize your analysis sessions and reports. You can group items by auction, collection, insurance purpose, or any way that suits your workflow.
Can I add one item to multiple projects?
Yes. A session or report can belong to multiple projects. For example, a jade vase report might be in both your 'Christie's May Auction' project and your 'My Jade Collection' project.
What happens when I delete a project?
Deleting a project only removes the organizational grouping. Your sessions and reports are never affected — they remain in your library and sessions list exactly as before.
What are stars and notes for?
Stars let you mark important items within a project — like flagging top picks for an auction. Notes let you add context per item, such as lot numbers, sources, or personal observations. Both are specific to the project link, so the same report can have different notes in different projects.
How do I pin a project?
On the projects page or the project detail page, use the Pin button to pin a project to the top of your sidebar. Pinned projects always appear first, regardless of when they were created.

Limitations

What can't AI analysis do?
AI analyzes photos only — it cannot assess weight, texture, or perform physical tests. For a full explanation, see our AI Limitations article. AI Limitations article
