AI Methodology

Gotique's AI analyzes your antique photos using multiple specialized models trained on auction records, museum collections, and expert reference materials. Each analysis produces a structured 7-section report covering identification, condition, provenance, market analysis, authentication, investment outlook, and care recommendations.

The system cross-references visual patterns — marks, glazes, patinas, construction techniques, stylistic elements — against known reference points. When the AI's confidence is low, it tells you. When physical inspection is needed, it says so.

AI analysis is a powerful starting tool, but it is not a replacement for hands-on professional examination. For high-value pieces or consequential decisions, we always recommend consulting a certified appraiser.
