Gotique operates the platform at gotique.ai and associated applications. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, share, and protect your personal information. We comply with PIPL (China), GDPR (EU), CCPA (California), and applicable US state privacy laws.

  • Usage data — pages visited, features used, session duration

2. How We Use Your Information

  • Provide AI-powered antique analysis services
  • Authenticate your account and maintain session security
  • Send transactional emails (verification, password reset, billing notifications)
  • Improve and optimize our services
  • Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security threats

3. Sharing Your Information

We share your information with AI processing providers to analyze your submitted images and text, infrastructure providers for hosting, and payment providers for payment processing. We may also disclose information when required by law. We do not sell your personal information.

4. Data Storage & Cross-Border Transfers

Your data is stored on global AWS infrastructure in compliance with applicable privacy laws, including PIPL. When we use AI providers for analysis, your submitted images and text are transferred to servers for processing. China-region users explicitly consent to cross-border data transfers by using the Service.

5. Data Retention

  • Pre-registration uploads: deleted after 2 hours
  • Free account data: reports soft-deleted after 90 days of inactivity (email warnings sent at 60 and 83 days; log in to reset the timer)
  • Paid account data: retained until 12 months after subscription ends
  • Transaction records: retained for 7 years (legal compliance)

Communication Preferences

We send transactional emails (account verification, password reset, payment notifications) that cannot be opted out of. Marketing emails (inactivity warnings) include a one-click unsubscribe link. You can manage your preferences in account settings.

7. Account Deletion & Anonymization

You may delete your account at any time in account settings. Upon deletion, all personal information (name, email, credentials) is permanently removed. Anonymized analysis content (AI-generated analysis and item images with no personal identifiers) may be retained for service improvement. Transaction records are retained for legal compliance. You may re-register with the same email at any time.

8. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest, secure password hashing (bcrypt), and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. In the event of a data breach, we will notify affected users and applicable regulators as required by law.

9. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us at privacy@gotique.ai and we will delete it promptly.

10. Cookies & Tracking

Gotique AI uses no third-party analytics cookies or tracking SDKs. Service analytics are collected server-side only. We may use strictly necessary session cookies for authentication. No advertising or behavioral tracking cookies are used.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email and in-app notification before taking effect. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
